The four bathing areas adapted for people with reduced mobility are maintained

The Town Hall makes an "excellent" assessment of the service and recognises the work of four lifeguards for saving the life of a man in cardiorespiratory arrest

Except for the lifeguard position, no previous experience is required for the other positions

The Lifeguard and Rescue Service, made up of 83 members of staff, has attended to 20,534 incidents up to 30th September

Mijas tripled the number of users of the adapted beaches to 669 and increased the number of baths to 365

In addition to the 83 lifeguards, there will be material resources such as a medicalised mobile ICU, three jet skis and a life-saving drone

it is already in operation during this Holy Week daily and will be maintained on weekends until June when it will be again from Monday to Sunday

Martín highlights "the safety of the Mijas coastline" as well as "the constant effort to ensure compliance with the anti covid measures"
