The Mijas Felina association would like to thank Alan Boardman, from Mijas Walking Tours for Charity, for his collaboration. The secretary of the feline collective, Manuela Bernardo, pointed out that this man "is a guide to Mijas Pueblo who gives three hour tours of our fabulous village and explains all its history in English".
According to Bernardo, "the best thing about all this is that they do it selflessly", as each month they donate what they receive from tourists to a different association. "The month of October has been our turn and we have collected 726 euros. Cristina, the president of Mijas Felina, and I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife", said the secretary.
Mijas Felina also wanted to thank Roberto González, from Roberto's restaurant in Calahonda, where the group held a charity lunch on Sunday 27th in aid of their stray cats. This is the fifth consecutive year that Mijas Felina has organised this popular charity paella, which in its previous edition brought together some 140 people, a figure that has been exceeded in this edition.
The money raised on this occasion will be used to feed them and to cover veterinary expenses. For his part, González said: "I really love animals and because of my work I can't dedicate the time they need. That's why I always help them by lending them the premises, and all the proceeds from the paella go to the association".
