On Friday, the Councillor for Youth presented the activities that will take place on Halloween evening in each of the urban centres in Mijas. The theme chosen for this year will be Mexican catrinas.
Haunted house for children, photocall, performances, workshops, games and inflatables in each urban centre of the municipality, and if you are over 12 years old, you can also participate in the haunted house installed in the Cortijo Don Elías, in Las Lagunas.
The Councillor for Youth, Mari Francis Alarcón, explained that "it will be a kind of maze of terror with different rooms, in which participants will be guided by the actors. In total there will be 14 actors dressed as different horror characters".
In Mijas Pueblo, the activities will start at 4 o'clock in the afternoon in the Plaza Virgen de la Peña; in La Cala at 5 o'clock in the Butibamba Park and in Las Lagunas, at half past five in the fairgrounds.
This year, as a novelty, the Town Hall has chosen a very popular character that takes us to the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead: the catrinas. The councillor encouraged everyone to get inspiration for their costumes from this character or theme, which will be the focus of all the activities and workshops organised by the Youth Department.
