The way the media works has changed radically and revolutionarily in just a decade. The implementation of new communications and the arrival of social media have transformed the media from top to bottom: immediacy is now the key to getting closer to users who are increasingly demanding a more prominent role in the news agenda. To talk about this, about how we work at Mijas Comunicación, the public service we provide from our newsroom and about the role of women in it, our director, Laura Delgado, and the head of Mijas International, Candela Arroyo, went to the headquarters of Soroptimist International Costa del Sol in Calahonda, accepting the invitation offered by the members of this association. Both gave an overview of the history of Mijas Comunicación and its evolution, while answering all the questions they were asked. Soroptimist periodically organises meetings and talks for its members of all kinds, and the one on Wednesday 9th was one more of those they usually offer.
