The season of themed markets continues. After the circus-themed one in Lagunas, now there is one in La Cala with seafaring decoration. From Friday 20th of September and during the weekend, on the 21st and 22nd, you will be able to find it in the Bulevar. It will be made up of twenty stalls, mainly of crafts, and there will also be workshops and storytelling for the little ones.

According to the councillor for Public Roads of Mijas Town Hall, Mari Francis Alarcón (PP), “it has a sea theme with blue and white decorations and marine animals. The aim is to organise an activity now in autumn so that people have a new place to go and see new things”.

The market will be set up on the boulevard from Friday at 18:00 hours. On Saturday and Sunday it will be open from 11:00 hours until midnight.

For her part, Lorena Martínez, the manager of Arlekín Markets, organiser of the event, assured that “we will have crafts, costume jewellery and a drinks stall. We are going to set up workshops for children where they will be able to make crafts and take them home, and there will also be storytelling. The workshops will include painting vases, chests and masks and will be open from 11:00 to 14:00 hours and from 17:00 until the market closes. The storytelling will take place in two sessions, at 13:00 and 19:00.
