The Mijas Town Hall holds its ordinary plenary session for May today Wednesday

A few minutes after 10 hours the plenary session for the month of May began, with a total of eight items on the agenda, plus the part dedicated to the control of the government team. Most of the items had to do with the presentation of accounts in which there were no interventions by the municipal groups. Also included was the resolution of two appeals of two files of the Cometha Plan, presented by the area of Employment Promotion, which was approved with the votes in favour of PSOE, Ciudadanos and the non-attached councillor Juan Carlos Maldonado and the abstentions of PP, and the non-attached councillors Carlos Rivero and Esperanza Jiménez. 

Finally, the agenda ended with the responsible declarations and the documentation provided by each municipal group that has formed part of the municipal corporation these four years and, on the other hand, to make clear to the five groups the obligation to justify the amounts that are pending as well as the corresponding contributions received in the period between April 1st 2023 and the end of the current corporate mandate. The item was passed with the votes in favour of PSOE, Ciudadanos, PP and the non-attached councillor Juan Carlos Maldonado, councillor Esperanza Jiménez abstained and the non-attached councillor Carlos Rivero voted against. 

The president of the plenary session and mayor of the town, Josele González (PSOE), dismissed the plenary session by announcing that the last plenary session of the current municipal corporation will take place on the 14th of June. After this, on Saturday, the 17th of June, the investiture session of the new local government will be held at the Mijas Town Hall.
