On Thursday, from first thing in the morning, the street cleaning teams rolled up their sleeves to clean up the municipality, including this area of Las Cañadas. 

The head of FCC Street Cleaning, Germán Muñoz, explained that "this is an essential task, since after the rains a lot of mud and sand accumulates on the roads, where motorbikes and cars can slip and cause accidents". ​​He also added that the operation involved "four street sweepers, two truck-mounted sweepers, two big ravo sweepers and two small ones". 

Work was also carried out in the area around the water park and in Camino de Coín, which at times on Wednesday accumulated a large amount of water. "Truck-mounted sweepers and personnel with shovels and rakes are working in this area, removing dirt and unblocking drains", said Muñoz on Thursday.

The councillor for Street Cleaning, Eloy Belmonte, pointed out the "predisposition" of his department, highlighting the team on duty on Wednesda"who were constantly on the lookout for incidents that occurred in this matter".  According to Eloy, there was also an operation in the street, a backhoe on alert, and all the means deployed, which during the day attended to all the demands received, "for example, when the tornado hit La Cala they moved to the area to put the containers back in place, they also moved a pergola that fell from a roof and was blocking the exit of a garage and unblocked drains".

The Parks and Gardens workers also spent Thursday morning removing tree branches which, due to the wind, appeared on the public highway in places such as the area around Doña Ermita or the Andalucía park in Las Lagunas. Actions that were not significant, they emphasised.
