The councillor for Finance, Mario Bravo (PP), announced that Friday 20th of November is the deadline for the voluntary payment of municipal taxes for the 2026 financial year. He therefore encouraged residents to complete this procedure to avoid surcharges.
“We remind all Mijas residents that there is still time to pay their tax bills without any penalty. From the 21st of November, surcharges corresponding to executive collection proceedings will begin to apply, in addition to the to late-payment interest”, he explained.
To make it easier to meet these obligations, the town hall provides various payment methods. Bills can be paid in person at the town hall building in Mijas Pueblo, as well as at the municipal branch offices in Las Lagunas and La Cala, which will offer additional afternoon service on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
