This Friday 9th, at 18:00, a new edition of the ‘Antonio Pino’ Autumn Literary Series kicks off, organised by Mijas’ Culture Department. The first guest author is Hilda Tomás, who will talk about her book ‘Las mujeres también fallan’. The event will take place at La Caleta restaurant on Avenida de Mijas.
In La Cala, two hours later at 20:00, visitors can discover the artistic work of Karyna Kiraro in the Cultural Centre’s exhibition hall. The Ukrainian artist is presenting a series of abstract surrealist paintings, where colours, shapes and figures take on different meanings depending on each visitor’s perspective. The exhibition is organised by the Culture Department.
Tango
Saturday brings the intense and sensual rhythm of tango. El Torreón in La Cala will host the second ‘Tango al aire libre’ outdoor event, bringing together enthusiasts and the general public to enjoy music and dance in an open-air setting. The event will run from 12 noon to 15:00 with admission is free. It forms part of Mijas Town Hall's ‘Culture in the Street’ programme, an initiative that aims to bring cultural activities to public spaces and encourage the participation of residents and visitors.
