The Mijas Town Hall’s e-office, launched by the government team in June 2025, now offers citizens more than 360 procedures that can be carried out online. The interoperable general register, electronic files, official resolutions, electronic invoicing and the notice board, among others, are the main services included in this channel for engaging with residents.

“The identification and authentication that are essential for operating through the e-office ensure that the data provided and received by citizens are protected”, emphasised the councillor for Digital Modernisation, Juan José Torres Trella (PP).  “Virtually all the procedures that citizens carry out with the local authority can be completed electronically, with all the benefits that this brings in terms of speed, convenience and, above all, security”.

Faster processing

Torres Trella pointed out that the e-office streamlines the internal processing of the matters that matter most to residents. This is because it eliminates several steps that were previously more numerous and time-consuming when dealing with matters in person. Reaching a resolution and subsequently notifying the interested party is now much quicker.

The e-office also includes information on municipal departments and a link to the municipal transparency portal. Torres Trella stated that online administration “improves service to the public and avoids unnecessary journeys and waiting times”.
