A new activity has been launched by the Mijas Town Hall Youth Department: this time, an excursion to the well-known Caminito del Rey. This was announced on the morning of the 20th of May by the councillor for Youth, Melisa Ceballos (PP), who stated that the event will take place on the 7th of June.

According to the councillor, “it is a unique opportunity to enjoy nature, outdoor sports and healthy leisure in one of the most impressive landscapes in the province of Málaga”. To facilitate transport for all those attending, the department has arranged a free bus service which is also included, as are the entrance tickets to the site. Participants will be picked up in the morning at the Las Lagunas fairground.
The Youth Department highlights that “this activity seeks to promote healthy leisure, socialising among local young people and the discovery of the area’s natural heritage through a unique experience”.
Registration
Due to the high demand this destination usually attracts and the capacity limitations of the route itself, places are limited and will be allocated in strict order of registration via the form provided for this purpose, which can be accessed through the QR code on the poster. Priority is given to young people aged between 18 and 35, but if any places remain available, they will be opened up to the general public. It is advisable to wear sports clothing and footwear, and bring sunscreen, water and lunch.
