As predicted by Aemet and weather experts, October is ending with rain. On Wednesday 29th, the State Meteorological Agency has issued a yellow alert for the province, active from 9:00 a.m. to midnight. Rainfall of up to 25 liters in one hour and 70 liters in 12 hours is expected. Temperatures are forecast to range from a low of 18°C to a high of 22°C.
Rain in Mijas
Monday saw up to 27 liters of rain in Mijas, according to the Hidrosur Network rain gauge located between Cerro del Moro and Cerro Castillejo. According to Cristóbal Gambero, head of the Mijas weather station, “this is a big difference compared to other areas, such as Mijas Pueblo, where my station is located, which only recorded 1.8 liters, and in the western part of our municipality, where there was barely a drizzle”.
