Students from the secondary schools Sierra de Mijas, Vega de Mijas and Las Lagunas participated on Tuesday 18th of March in the II Young Entrepreneurs Conference of Malaga, organised by MSGROWTH and the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), which aims to "empower young people in their professional future projects so that they have the job they want and dream of and can be their own bosses", explained the CEO of MSGROWTH, Álvaro García.
Sponsored by the Malaga Provincial Council and entrepreneurs in the province, among them Cristóbal Moreno from Mijas, and in collaboration with the Mijas Town Hall, the second edition of this conference brought together a total of 1,600 young people from all over the province. In the Manuel España Theatre in Las Lagunas, the last stop of this initiative, around 450 young people gathered to receive information, training and advice to undertake their business project. "I know that there are young people with lots of ideas, eager to do their bit in our municipality with new types of businesses ", said the mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), who opened the event, adding that "it is a unique opportunity for them to have experts in entrepreneurship and business who can guide them on where to get those resources to fulfil the dream that each one of them has".
