The Nueva Laguna Neighbourhood Association presented last Monday 17th in the Fernán Caballero Park the event they have organised to celebrate the Day of Andalusia on Friday 28th of February. The activity, which will take place in the same park, will feature free paella and 'callos' (tripe) for members and at popular prices, only four euros a plate, for the rest of the attendees. As well as paella and tripe, there will be dance performances by the Academia Punto Danza, the Asociación Músico-Cultural Coros y Danzas de Mijas and the Zumba group. The board of the Nueva Laguna NA encourages the neighbours to celebrate the Day of Andalusia with them.

Also the neighbours of El Juncal are commemorating this important date with a lunch at their headquarters, starting at 13:30 hours, where the famous tripe of Ana Cañón will be served. Members are invited to this meal, while those who do not belong to the collective can have one of these dishes for three euros. 

The Peña Unión del Cante, for its part, will prepare a lunch from 14:00 hours, Manuel Cortés, the former president of the group will be in charge of preparing 'migas', there will also be a barbecue and ‘flamenco’ dishes. There will also be live performances by the peña's choir, Claudia Leiva's dance group and the Juan de la Loma singing and guitar workshop on Friday 28th at the peña's headquarters in the Lagar Don Elías. 

In the afternoon, the La Cala Senior Citizens Association will offer a snack for its members at 18:00. Tickets can be collected on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:30 to 18:30.
