After a night of rainfall, the downpour became even more intense after 8:20 a.m., surprising pedestrians and drivers and flooding the roads in the area in seconds. All this was accompanied by thunderstorms and, at times, hail.
Remember that, throughout Monday 3rd of February, the AEMET (State Meteorology Agency in Spain) is keeping the orange alert active on the Costa del Sol and Valle del Guadalhorce, for accumulated rainfall of 30 mm in one hour and 100 mm in 12 hours. Extreme caution.
