Last Friday 22nd the Circle of Enterpreneurs of Mijas, Torremolinos and Benalmadena chose Mijas to celebrate the third edition of its Business Lunch ‘Conexiones’ (Connections). The place chosen was the Restaurant Asador Otola in Mijas and it was a meeting for creating synergies. "In this type of events we also do business, we exchange business cards, networking, we get to know each other and at the same time we do business, we improve the life of the compani", said the delegate of the Circle of Entrepreneurs of Mijas, Francisco Fontalba.
"In this lunch, we have the opportunity to meet and exchange information and I want to thank the Mijas Town Hall for its involvement, they have put a lot of effort and hard work to convene many entrepreneurs to come to this lunch so that, in this way, they get know the Circle and everything we will develop in Mijas in the future", said the president of the Circle, Adolfo Trigueros.
Strength comes in numbers
In the Circle of Entrepreneurs "there is room for all sectors", added the president, "our common goal is to support each other, to collaborate with each other, to generate synergies", he added. The event brought together a large representation of entrepreneurs from various sectors, around 70 entrepreneurs, and was attended by the councillor of the government team Lourdes Burgos (PP), who showed the support of the Town Hall to the business community.
"It is very important that this Circle has a presence in Mijas because they are an essential part, without companies there is no employment, there is no economic activity and in the Town Hall we have no choice but to support them, in this case, the Circle of Entrepreneurs, which was born recently, but also the business confederations, the association of entrepreneurs of Mijas Pueblo and all those that exist in the municipality. Because I firmly believe that there is strength in numbers", said the councillor, who encouraged “all companies to join this type of initiative”.
Recognition
One of the most emotional moments of the day was the tribute to the local businessman Miguel Ángel Gómez López, for his outstanding business career and his contribution to the economic development of Mijas. "He started working with his father, who created Muebles Fuengirola. He has been studying and working since he was a child, he has also been a builder and developer and in Las Lagunas he has built a lot and he is also a man with a big heart", said Fontalba.
Trigueros said: "Miguel Ángel represents the values of effort and commitment that inspire our business community. It is an honour to recognise his impact on the municipality".
Looking to the future
The event offered attendees the opportunity to network, exchange ideas and explore synergies in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to dialogue. In addition, raffles were held among the participants, enhancing the interaction and dynamism of the event.
The manager of the Circle of Entrepreneurs, Jesús Tejedor, took the opportunity to present the Circle's upcoming initiatives, such as the business stand at the H&T fair and the gala dinner on the 12th of December. "These events not only create opportunities, but also reinforce the Circle's commitment to innovation, sustainability and business development", said Tejedor.
"The Circle of Entrepreneurs to demonstrate that the joint efforts and collaboration between entrepreneurs and public administrations are the engine of economic and social growth in our region", said the group in a press release sent to the media.
