As every year, the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's patients, AFA Mijas, held on Friday 15th its traditional charity dinner at the Bodeguita el Tejo, a night full of solidarity, music and raffles, with the aim of raising funds to support the psychostimulation workshops for its users
The event featured 60 diners, a delicious menu and the talent of the singer Araceli.
The president of AFA Mijas, Maria Rosario, explained that "this dinner also allows us to have a moment with all those who collaborate, we always see each other when working, so with this dinner we can enjoy a relaxed and pleasant time together".
In addition to the dinner, which cost 20 euros plus a donation of 5 euros, Christmas hampers and other gifts were raffled, raising a significant amount of money. Teresa Ramos, owner of the Bodeguita el Tejo, has been essential in this dinner. As she explained, "we already organised it last year and we do it as a way of thanking the association, which helped my mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's for 10 years".
The dinner was also attended by members of the government team such as Mario Bravo who highlighted the work of AFA and thanked them for everything the to for others.
In this way, AFA demonstrates that unity and solidarity are essential to improve the quality of life of people affected by Alzheimer's disease.
