The 200 senior citizens' from Mijas who are part of the third shift of the trip to Melilla started their adventure by boat this Monday. At around 15:00 hours they took the ferry to this autonomous city, starting their journey on a storm-tossed afternoon. In the end, there were no problems and the group of seniors arrived safely at the Melilla Puerto hotel.
After solving the transportation to the port of Malaga due to the transport strike, the group of senior citizens from Mijas started their journey by ferry to Melilla. From early in the afternoon there was dancing and a good atmosphere on the boat, where they had a snack and there was always a drink to liven up the senior citizens' trip. The voyage was a bit bumpy due to the inclement weather, but the seniors made up for it with a good mood and dancing.
Felipe Chumilla and Loli Jurado said that "the voyage has been a bit bumpy, we have had some turbulence with the storm, but we have had a good time, we have had a snack and they have looked after us at all times. We also danced a lot on the boat and now, after dinner, we are hoping to go back to dancing. We won't miss a single one."
The couple of Fernando Gutiérrez and Antonio González assured that "we are having a great time, everything is going very well and we are very happy".
On their arrival at the port of Melilla, they travelled by bus to the Melilla Puerto hotel, where they are staying these days. A hearty dinner to get their strength back and rest in these facilities, as today have begun with the planned excursions.
