Last Friday afternoon, the La Cala Cultural Centre inaugurated a new pictorial exhibition with more than fifty works. The exhibition brings together two artists, Margarita Villarroel and Javier Coppel, who work in two different but complementary styles.
"I love to draw human figures", said Margarita, while Javier explained that he prefers to make "large paintings, a panoramic view of existing establishments, to which he adds a lot of people and characters".
Margarita is exhibiting about 40 works and her husband Javier, 12. They are not professional painters but they have been painting all their lives and although Javier has exhibited in Mijas before, for Margarita it is the first time, something that is in itself a reward, as she said, "it is more than selling, it is the pleasure of seeing your work exhibited and being able to show the world what you do".
The exhibition can be visited until Monday 18th of November at the La Cala Cultural Centre.
