Mijas attends with an institutional representation to support this cause and show its "commitment" to the entity

From the 7th to the12th of October, which is World Palliative Care Day, the Cudeca Foundation will be holding its traditional Palliative Care Week to commemorate the event. Once again it seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of palliative care and its impact on the quality of life of patients and their families.

Under the title ‘Painting end-of-life care’, the inaugural event was held, and was attended by public representatives from towns that support this cause, such as Mijas. Its councillor for Social Inclusion, Melisa Ceballos (PP), recalled that "from the government team and, above all, the mayoress Ana Mata, we are committed to Cudeca".

For Cudeca's manager and medical director, Marisa Martín, this support from "the entities that have been collaborating with us for many years, from the community that makes Cudeca" is essential as "they also often guide us from a more strategic vision".

During Cudeca Palliative Care Week, different activities will be organised, including talks, workshops and round tables. These activities will include the participation of professionals from the sector, volunteers and representatives from the community, who will share their experiences and knowledge about end-of-life care. For example, on Tuesday 8th of  October, the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga is hosting a charity concert featuring the singer Falete. But the work of the Cudeca Foundation is daily and Ceballos highlighted that "we have a shop in La Cala for which we have renewed the contract so that it can continue to raise funds".

Finally, Ceballos made an appeal for everyone "o collaborate and for volunteers to come and help, because thanks to them, Cudeca reaches everyone".
