The provisional lists for the senior citizens' trip are published

  • Find the list on the Town Hall notice board, on the website www.mijas.es and at the offices of the Senior Citizens' Department.
  • Applicants have ten working days to rectify any errors before the publication of the definitive list of those admitted and excluded
  • Appearing on the provisional lists does not mean that a place has been allocated
  • Los primeros tres turnos saldrán a finales de octubre con destino Melilla.

If there are more applications accepted than there are places, a public draw will be made.

As reported from the Senior Citizens Department, the provisional lists of accepted and rejected applications for this year's trip to Granada and Melilla are available for consultation from today, Friday 20th. Those interested can check the lists on the Town Hall notice board, on the municipal website www.mijas.es and at the Senior Citizens' Department. There will be ten working days to correct any errors and provide new documentation. Allegations can be presented by register at the Town Hall or the branch officess, as well as on Wednesday 25th at the office for the Elderly in Mijas Pueblo and on Thursday 26th at the office in La Cala. In Las Lagunas, the office will be open every day.

From the Senior Citizens Department, they clarify that these are provisional lists and, in no case, the places have been allocated. At the end of the application deadline, if the number of accepted applications is higher than the number of places offered in each programme and destination, the Department  will set a date for a public draw in which the accepted applications will be included with an identifying number.  At this point, the definitive list of people who have been awarded a trip will be published.
