A fault in some meters in the Balcón del Mar building, located in Calle Cádiz in the Torrenueva residential development, caused a water leak this Monday morning which, in turn, caused a landslide, destroying a section of the coastal path that runs under the building. 

The 112 emergency service received the alert call at around 7 a.m. and firefighters, the Guardia Civil and the local police were called to the scene. The area has been duly sealed off and closed to traffic, and an alternative route has been set up. Fortunately there were no injuries, only material damage.
