This Thursday, the councillor for Youth in Mijas, Mari Francis Alarcón (PP), presented a new initiative organised by the department she directs. This is Mijas Joven, a programme featuring live music and foam parties designed for young people in the municipality to enjoy. The programme will tour the three urban centres to offer entertainment and performances on Saturday evenings at three locations in the municipality. The places chosen for these parties are: the Plaza Virgen de la Peña in Mijas Village, the María Zambrano Park in Las Lagunas and the Plaza del Torreón in La Cala. The first of these festivities will be held this Saturday, 10th of August, with DJ Koke Gálvez and the group Alejados. "It is an activity in which we will have, first, a foam party at 19 hours, enlivened by the DJ, and around ten o'clock at night, we will have the concert. It is an activity for young and not so young people who want to have a good time on a Saturday evening," said the councillor.

 

On Saturday 24th of August the party will be held in the María Zambrano Park in Las Lagunas and on the 31st, in the Plaza del Torreón in La Cala. First, there will be a foam party and, on both occasions, the band Miranda Cuenca will play after the DJs' sessions of D’Avola y Super Flaking Bros respectively. "The concerts will start at around 22 hours and the parties will go from 19 hours to midnight".

Remember, on Saturdays 10th, 24th and 31st of August, from 19:00 hours, Mijas Joven will be held in the Plaza Virgen de la Peña, María Zambrano Park and Plaza del Torreón, respectively.
