Digital marketing expert Néstor Romero gives a masterclass at Employment Promotion

With this type of initiative, the municipal area seeks to enrich training with real and practical experiences from great professionals.

Around thirty students on the employment and training programmes Mitur and Mijas Gestiona took part this week in a masterclass on digital marketing and neuromarketing given by international expert Néstor Romero. The programmes are state funded and subsidised by the Junta de Andalucía in collaboration with Mijas Town Hall. 

For the students enrolled in these two programmes the day did not run as usual. They received a visit and specific training from one of the big names in the digital marketing sector with more than 20 years of experience and more than 500 projects in more than 30 countries. He is also a founding partner of five companies. 

This was the first masterclass that the students on these two training programmes, that are being developed at the Employment Promotion building, have received.

According to the speaker, “we are mainly talking about digital marketing and customer experience. The talk aims to teach them, to make them understand, how important the customer experience is when it comes to achieving that maximum connection between brands and companies. So it’s very important to understand these details that are going to make a difference, and also to know the basics to create a good customer experience and to be able to succeed in the business sector”.

Tourism and administrative management

The director of the Mitur programme, Pilar Manso, recalled that “from Employment Promotion these two programmes are being developed in Mijas, one of them is more related to tourism and the other one to administrative management. All the students have been employed since June and will be hired for a whole year. We consider that the masterclass is important so that they get to know the experience first hand, directly from professionals who are already working in that sector, we think that digital marketing can be applied to both trainings”. 

 The councillor for Employment Promotion, Juan Carlos Maldonado (PMP), wanted to greet the speaker and encourage the students “to make the most of this interesting and practical training”. According to the councillor, “it is very important to give these students not only training tools but also the experience of a person like Néstor who, in the American market, is developing all his talent in a very necessary field such as digital marketing. It is a very interesting class, from the point of view of tourism and customer service. These are training tools and also tools that can be used for personal growth”.
