On Wednesday night, the Torreón beach in La Cala was full of families and young people. All of them gathered for one reason: to enjoy an animated film on the sand and very close to the sea.
"Today they are screening the film Mavka, which I've never seen but I think it's cool, and I've never been here before", said young Miguel. It was for sure, the perfect plan for a summer night, said Alberto, one of the fathers, who assured that "this is a very interesting activity to enjoy on the beach with friends and family",and suggested that "we have more cinema nights on the beach".
Little Ainhoa was also very happy "because I am with my three friends, we have been surfing in the afternoon and now we are going to the cinema".
In addition to watching the film, some of them also enjoyed a good dinner in the open air, like María, who prepared "sandwiches, chips, nuggets, cool drinks, ...", for the occasion.

The Councillor for Youth of Mijas Town Hall, Mari Francis Alarcón, also participated in this event which was so appealing to everyone. As she explained, "we are very happy with the feedback. It is the second film they have offered this summer and, as well as in the first one, we gave out popcorn to all the attendees to make the experience complete".
The next date for the Summer Cinema will be on Wednesday 31st of July, at 22:30 hours, in La Candelaria Park in Las Lagunas. The film chosen for the occasion will be Momias.
