The Las Lagunas Fair already has its programme and poster. The mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), accompanied by the councillor for Festivities, Silvia Marín (PP), announced the events that will make up this year's programme, as well as the image that will illustrate this year's edition of the festivities in the town of Las Lagunas, which will be held from 26th to 30th of June.

The Plaza de La Candelaria was the venue for the presentation of the Las Lagunas Fair, an event which was attended by members of the corporation, the festivities board, whom the councillor thanked expressly for their collaboration, as well as a large number of local residents.

The mayoress explained that this year's programme has been designed for everyone to enjoy with family and friends. "I hope that all residents and visitors have fun and share the best moments at the fair. It's going to be a joyful time, for us, it's like summer has officially begun", said the councillor.

The Las Lagunas Fair will be inaugurated on the 26th at 22:00h with the switching on of the artistic lighting. That first day will be the special children's day, so the children's attractions will have a reduced price, 2.50 euros, after reaching an agreement between the Town Hall and the fairground workers. In addition, in consideration of people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), from 19:00 to 21:00 there will be no music and the noise in the rides area will be reduced because, as the councillor explained, the aim is for this celebration to be inclusive.

On the first day, the presentation of candidates to become queen and king of the fair will also take place from 22:30 hours in the municipal booth. Registration to participate in the contest is open until the 18th and those interested in participating can submit their applications, addressed to the Department for Festivities, through the electronic site or at any of the municipal entry registers located in the Town Hall itself and in the Branch Offices in Las Lagunas and La Cala.
