The 2nd day of the Judo Sports Games will take place on Saturday 9th of March

  • More than 200 participants will be registered, including local judo competitors and guests

The competition will take place at the Regino Hernández Sports Complex from half past nine in the morning until one in the afternoon in the different categories

The second day of the Municipal Judo Sports Games will take place on Saturday in the sports hall of the 'Ciudad Deportiva'.  The day will begin at half past nine in the morning with the children's category, followed by the cadet and junior categories.  From 10.45 hours onwards, it will be the turn of the junior and juvenile categories, and from midday, the 'judokitas' and 'benjamines'.  In 'judokitas', the competition system is as follows: judo-zumo with one point for taking the opponent out of the circle, 2 points for projection and the first to reach 3 points wins.  In the other categories, the competition is adapted with educational refereeing.  The scoring system is 4 points for the first, 3 for the second, 2 for the third, and 1 for all participants.  Registration will be carried out through the QR that appears on the poster of the competition.  The councillor for Sports, Mari Francis Alarcón (PP), presented the competition this morning with the head of the Municipal Sports Service, José Manuel Quero.  "We have a new competition in the Municipal Sports Games in which judo fighters from the municipal and federated schools and also clubs coming from the province and Malaga city are participating, we are very happy with the expected participation as judo is a modality with a long tradition in Mijas", commented the councillor.
