Once again the Idiliq Foundation and ‘Superheroes one child, one smile’ show their support to the New Culture for Development Association of Mijas, which currently attends to around 134 families in the municipality at risk of social exclusion.
For the third consecutive year, Idiliq is donating new toys to this group so that the youngest children, between 60 and 70 boys and girls, can open their Epiphany present on the 4th of January. “Through our volunteers, employees of the Idiliq group will provide books and new toys for them to use for the first time”, said the president of the foundation, Juan Miguel Marcos, who added that “they will also be given a bag of sweets along with the gift”.
For her part, the secretary of the group, Rosa Planelles, thanked them for this gesture: “Every time we ask for their help for our campaign ‘No child without a new toy’, they are there” and recalled that every year they prepare a grand afternoon snack to distribute these gifts in collaboration with the superheroes, which will take place on January 4th at 17 hours. Representing the superheroes was Spiderman, who confessed that this is a very special day for the children, as in addition to receiving their gift “they are very excited about who is giving it to them”, as Spiderman, Batman, Captain America, Wonder Woman and Supergirl usually attend.

The mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), declared that “ during these Christmas holidays nobody can be left behind” and highlighted that this is “an initiative to collect toys for these children who, perhaps their families are going through a rough patch, and between all of us we can help the Three Wise Men to remember them and that these letters reach each and every home”.
Mata highlighted the value of this solidarity initiative and publicly thanked the ‘Nueva Cultura del Desarrollo’ Association for its important work: “Without a doubt, their work throughout the 365 days of the year is adapted to the needs that arise in the municipality”.
For her part, the delegate for Social Inclusion of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Ruth Sarabia, underlined the role and constant collaboration of the Idiliq Foundation, not only in Mijas but also in the province: “It is an entity worthy of mention and recognition because in the end there are many entities that have needs, there are many vulnerable families who, unfortunately, at this time of year, cannot give a toy or a decent meal in accordance with the festivities and the Idiliq Foundation is there to help”. She also recalled that in Malaga there are 369 specific entities that work with vulnerable families, “who then receive the support we give through the Andalusian Regional Government through Bancosol and the Red Cross”, also defending public-private collaboration.
