The funds will be used to complete the adaptation of a walker and a chair, as well as to cover various therapies for Ana El Boukri

Ana El Boukri Núñez is three years old and suffers from cystic periventricular leukomalasia, a type of cerebral palsy caused by a lack of oxygen in the incubator. The little girl needs therapy, specific care and an adapted walker to enable her to move around independently. Improving her quality of life is very expensive, which has led the Alegria de la Huerta Andaluza Association to organise different activities to help the family.

The last of these took place on Friday 2nd at the Bar Fiesta in Mijas Pueblo, which hosted a charity dinner in which 140 people participated and which raised 1,050 euros. "The truth is that people are very supportive, the Lions Club has come, we have representation from Soroptimist, taxi drivers, singers...", said the president of Alegría de la Huerta Andaluza, Antonia Núñez.

The dinner, which was attended by the councillor of the government team Candela León (Cs), had a flamenco atmosphere with various performances and was also organised with the collaboration of the Bar Restaurante Fiesta, the Peña El Pitero, the Idiliq Foundation and the Lions Club of La Cala. The latter took the opportunity to present the family with a cheque valued at 8,000 euros.
