The National Police have dismantled in Mijas a criminal network dedicated to the international shipment of drugs hidden in pallets with bed linen, and have arrested three men aged 25, 26 and 32, for their alleged responsibility in the crimes of drug trafficking and membership of a criminal organisation. The dismantled network prepared the shipments in a house in Mijas, where 22 kilos of marijuana buds and 26 kilos of hashish were seized.
Operation Blatter began in August last year, when officers from the Organised Crime Group of the Local Police Station in Torremolinos received information pointing to the existence of a criminal network dedicated to the international transport of narcotic substances in Mijas.
Continuing with the investigations, the detectives located the premises, a house where the shipments to Germany were being prepared. There, the suspects stockpiled large quantities of cannabis, which they then hid among apparently legal merchandise.
The investigators carried out a search of the house, inside which they found several pallets loaded with bed linen (sheets, bedspreads, etc.), and among these items they discovered 60 packets of hashish pellets and 21 packets of marijuana buds. According to the investigations, the narcotic substance was destined for the country of origin of two of those investigated, Germany.
The case has already been transferred to the 2nd Court of Instruction in Fuengirola.
