The Municipal Cemetery La Purísima in Mijas Pueblo adapts its opening hours for the traditional All Saints' Day, 1st November, and All Souls' Day, 2nd November. The department responsible has set up a special arrangement for these dates, which includes the improvement and tidying up of the whole area, which has been badly affected by the haze of the last few months.

According to Candela León (Cs), the Councillor in charge, "we wanted to leave all the facilities in good condition. We repainted the entire cemetery to solve the haze stains, so the facilities are now in good condition. In addition, the landscaping has been arranged, and a special cleaning has been carried out".

The cemetery will have special opening hours from Thursday, 27th October to Monday, 31st October,  9:00 to 20:00. On Tuesday, 1st November, the opening hours will be from 8:00 to 22:00 and 8:00 to 19:00 on Wednesday. Residents are invited to clean, and tidy the tombstones and niches from this date onwards, as the municipal workers will carry out these tasks beforehand.

According to León, "We wanted to modify the opening hours to allow families to come before the 1st to clean the niches so that they are in good condition so that on the 1st, they can only come to visit".

The department informs that there will be cleaning utensils available to users from the 27th and invites everyone to respect safety measures and opening hours. There will also be signs at the entrance and exit of the enclosure and the Local Police and the facility staff's indications for orderly use without incidents.
