The Idiliq Foundation held its gala presentation on Thursday, the 15th, at the Wyndham Costa del Sol resort. Around 250 people met to enjoy an evening with Idiliq Developments as the principal sponsor. The attendees were able to enjoy a cocktail served by the Mediterráneo restaurant.
Associations from all over the province, the media, sponsors, collaborators, partners, company representatives, ambassadors, volunteers, and political and business personalities from Malaga and Andalusian society did not miss the event. The Mijas Mayor, Josele González (PSOE), highlighted: "We wanted to support them for everything they do for our municipality, not only for corporate social responsibility by complementing municipal aid to groups and entities but also for people who need occasional help. Whenever we have required Idiliq's help, we have always been able to count on it".
The First Deputy Mayor, José Carlos Martín (Cs), emphasised that "this type of solidarity foundation has our recognition and support. We are proud to collaborate and work with them as they are based in our municipality. They help by providing supplies, vans, and other needed things every month. They have a social action". "With this re-foundation and this expansion, they want to continue their participation work with society throughout the province. It is a great thing that after the struggles of COVID, the first thing they have done is to re-found the ‘Fundación Sonrisa’ to help people", said the popular Councillor Ángel Nozal.
Committed to Mijas
The entity's founder, Roy Peires, highlighted in his speech some of the actions that it has undertaken in our municipality, such as the Adimi day centre. With this group, Idiliq actively collaborates with associations such as Cudeca or the Spanish Cancer Association because, as he pointed out, "we have always felt a social obligation to our environment".
The Foundation's president, Juan Miguel Marcos, thanked the ambassadors and volunteers “for what you mean to this great project and for the excellent service you offer so efficiently and generously every day to those who need it most". Dimitris Manikis, president of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and José Luque, president of Aehcos, also attended the event.
