The Las Lagunas Theatre will host a talk by the philosopher, journalist, and writer Elsa Punset, a leading figure in the field of emotional intelligence. The conference is called, ' Strong, Free, and Nomadic. Proposals for living in extraordinary times', is based on the writer's latest book, a manual written during the pandemic that aims to offer us tools for living positively in these turbulent times. "To adjust to this new normality presented to our lives in which mental health is being affected, especially women by the stress we are subjected to, as we carry all the emotional burden and the workload; and also young people because they have seen their lives at a standstill," said the Councillor for Equality at the Mijas Town Hall, Natalia Martinez (PSOE), during the presentation of the activity.

The organisers also intend to create an interactive space with the public. The Councillor pointed out that "at the end of the conference all those attending will be given the opportunity to ask questions or express any concerns they may have, so it is a magnificent opportunity to get to know Elsa Punset first-hand. People will also be able to bring their books to have them signed by the author".

The event takes place on Monday, 19th September, at 20:00 at Las Lagunas Theatre. Admission is free until capacity is reached.
