The Mayor of Mijas, Josele González, and the Fiestas Councillor, Tamara Vera, highlighted the quality and variety of the programme of these fiestas.

Although COVID is still present, normality has returned to our lives, and proof of this is the atmosphere that was enjoyed during Las Lagunas Fair. This is why the Mayor of Mijas, Josele González (PSOE), and the Councillor for Fiestas, Tamara Vera (PSOE), valued the success of this fair's programme during their visit to the set of Mijas Communication last Saturday night. "Both Wednesday and Thursday, and even yesterday, the flow of people was much higher than expected. It provides comfort to those working on the fair for weeks. Above all, it is satisfying as it gives a lot of meaning to the effort that the Town Hall is making to celebrate this Las Lagunas Fair," said González.
For her part, Vera said that "I would only use one word, which would be emotion. The emotion experienced when we see them entering our fair, when we see the parents with the little ones whose faces light up, when they see the lighting, when they see the different attractions they can enjoy".

The Mijas Town Hall showed its "gratitude and emotion" for the dedication of neighbours and visitors during this fair, something that, for the Mayor and the Councillor, fulfilled the objective: "we have been doing a good job. I think the Las Lagunas Fair is getting better and better. It is also moving up a level, and I think that our neighbours also deserved to enjoy it. We are pleased to see the Municipal Stand full," said the Councillor. He also highlighted the large number of people who have also attended the daytime fair in the Cortijo Don Elías. "Perhaps, we have been right as the space is close to the fairgrounds at night. We also have shaded areas," thanks to the Department of Festivals' work. As a result of all this, the balance of these festivities is positive. They assure us they are already working to ensure that La Cala Fair is at the same level or even better. It will be a great success," said the Councillor.
