The Mayor of Mijas, Josele González, and the Councillor for Works and Infrastructures, José Carlos Martín, visited this Friday, La Candelaria municipal car park, located opposite the Las Lagunas Sports Complex, which has now been opened to residents. In this sense, the Mijas Mayor pointed out that "those who want to apply for a parking space can still do so as the deadline is still open". He also added "for those who already have a place, we are going to offer a 15-day courtesy period. They will be able to use the car park for free and get to know the facilities".
For his part, Martín added that this new infrastructure "will offer more parking options in Las Lagunas, as from today 506 parking spaces come into service, of which 300 are already rented".
As for the rotation parking spaces, this car park also maintains the rates of the municipal car parks. The first parking hour will be free, from the second to the ninth hour, one euro per hour, and from the tenth hour onwards, the rate will be 60 cents per hour, so that the cost of a full day will be 9.40 euros.
Finally, the Mijas Mayor recalled that at the top of the car park, there is a square with a sports area and children's playground, "which is also open to the public so that all families can enjoy this area.
