On Friday, July 16th, the parish church in La Cala will remain open from 10 to 20 hours,

For the second consecutive year the Virgen del Carmen will not be taken out on the streets of La Cala. Although the faith in the patron is very strong and traditional, the current health situation means that “it is not advisable to take her out in procession for another year”, as expressed by the parish priest of the church of Santa Teresa de La Cala, Juan Baena. Of course, the patron saint of sailors will be paid homage. On Friday, July 16th, the parish church in La Cala will remain open from 10 to 20 hours, so that all those who wish to can leave their floral offering, and later, at 20 hours, Baena will officiate the Mass in her honour that can be followed live on Mijas 3.40 Television, as well as on Facebook and YouTube. Later, those who missed it, or want to see it again, will be able to do so on Saturday 17th at 11 hours on the same platforms or on the ‘a la carte’ section at www.mijascomunicacion.com
