The Beach Council in Mijas launched last Saturday 3rd a device including controllers and drones in charge of ensuring security along the entire Mijas coast during the months of July and August. In total, three drones and 10 controllers will be in charge of monitoring the capacity at different points along the coast and informing bathers about the anti-COVID regulations.

“This device will continue to perform its function, which is to support at all times, from Monday to Sunday, all the work that lifeguards have been doing on our coast”, said the Beaches councillor, José Carlos Martín (Cs).

In addition to all this, the beach facility also has 63 lifeguards on a daily basis, spread over 17 posts, three jet skis, four reduced mobility areas and a life-saving drone.
