The councillor for Youth, Melisa Ceballos (PP), presented on Thursday 22nd the festivities to be held on 31st October in the three town centres to mark Halloween. “We’ll have activities, workshops, magic shows and parades, a bit of everything so that our little ones, older kids and the whole family can enjoy themselves”, she said.

In addition, a ‘Quiet Hour’ has been organised for people with sensory sensitivity (from 16:00 to 17:00 in Mijas Pueblo, from 17:00 to 18:00 in La Cala and from 18:00 to 19:00 in Las Lagunas).

In Mijas Pueblo the theme will be ‘Alice in Nightmare Land’, offering a fantastical and mysterious atmosphere between 16:00 and 22:00, all taking place in Plaza Virgen de la Peña.

Las Lagunas will be transformed to host ‘Scary Stories’ at Cortijo Don Elías and the fairground, running from 18:00 until midnight. And La Cala will host ‘The Enchanted Night’ in La Butibamba Park from 17:00 to 23:00.

In all three town centres, there will be themed parades (at 19:00 and 22:00), as well as storytelling, magic shows, DJ and host entertainment, and survival games.

The main highlight will be the traditional haunted house at Cortijo Don Elías, open continuously from 17:00 to 23:00, offering an immersive walkthrough full of scares and surprises.

Ceballos encouraged residents and visitors to attend in fancy dress and emphasised that all activities are free of charge.
