The Ukrainian-Spanish Cultural Association Espacio Cultural is celebrating a cultural encounter at its United Family Cultural Centre from the 22nd to the 24th of May, which will showcase Ukrainian heritage and strengthen cultural ties with the local community on the Costa del Sol. The festival will showcase the Vyshyvanka (a traditional shirt featuring protective embroidery of profound identity value) and Borsch (the iconic beetroot soup recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO).
Attendees will be able to enjoy a programme that includes traditional cooking displays, a craft fair and workshops, as well as the main programme of concerts and the ethnic costume parade, which will take place on Saturday 23rd of May at 20:00 hours. The event will have a charitable character. An auction and a raffle will be organised during the festival, and the funds raised will go towards the development and maintenance of this centre.
