With the aim of bringing joy to disadvantaged children in our town, the Danish Club of Mijas launched a year-long fundraising campaign several years ago to purchase new toys and donate them to NGOs and social organisations in the municipality. This initiative was promoted by Helle Tychsen and, following her death last summer, several members of the Nordic community have decided to continue with this action, thus keeping her memory alive.

This year, the Danish Club has donated a batch of 185 toys for children of all ages to the Mijas Red Cross and Nueva Cultura del Desarrollo Social. “I am very pleased that we have been able to continue this project at the Danish Club by donating these toys to the children of Mijas. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed”, said member Lissi Birgit Nielsen.
