Volunteers from the Idiliq Foundation have donated items, including non-perishable foodstuffs and cleaning and personal hygiene products to the Association of Relatives and People with Mental Illness of the Costa del Sol (Afesol). On Wednesday, 11th of December, the products were delivered to the organisation. "We would like to thank Idiliq for counting on us, on this occasion, to donate, among other things, food that will go to the most needy people in our group", said Victor Manuel Martin, in charge of Employment at Afesol, who also thanked "the Mijas Town Hall, which is always with us by providing grants and spaces for employment".
"Christmas is a very propitious time to help associations that carry out many activities such as Afesol and there are many ways in which we can help them. In this case, after a collection of food and personal hygiene products carried out with the foundation's volunteers, we have been able to make this donation to Afesol. For us it is a very happy day", said Juan Miguel Marcos, president of the foundation. The ceremony was attended by the councillor for Social Inclusion of the Mijas Town Hall, Melisa Ceballos, who stressed that "Afesol does great work throughout the year attending to people with mental health problems, their families, giving support, working, above all, for the integration into the labour market and so that mental health is not a problem and that these people are accompanied and supported in this process of their lives". Afesol serves more than a thousand users on the Costa del Sol.
