Its members evaluate aspects such as assistance to facilitate the change of place of residence or access to institutional resources

The Viogenex group, which offers support to foreign victims of gender violence, held one of its regular meetings on Friday. At the meeting, some specific cases that occurred during the summer were discussed, and the protocol for assisting these victims was evaluated, both initially (such as the change of place of residence or emergency financial aid), as well as the subsequent steps aimed at facilitating access to the resources offered by official bodies to victims of gender violence.

Among the issues addressed, the work of associations and volunteers who help to overcome language barriers and advice on how to obtain documents accrediting the identity of the victims and their situation was highlighted.

This group includes the Foreigners and Social Services departments of the Mijas Town Hall, representatives of the specialised group of the Local Police and Civil Guard, and associations such as the Red Cross, Soroptimist, Club de Leones, Age care and Málaga Acoge.
