The Association of Hotel Businessmen of the Costa del Sol (AEHCOS) evaluates the month of June and gives a preview of the forecasts for the coming months. According to the association, Mijas, with 92.54% would be the most visited destination during the month of July, followed by Fuengirola with 91.27% and Benalmádena, where hotel occupancy is expected to reach 83.52%.
Hotel occupancy during the month of June in the province of Malaga was 87.87%, a figure which, according to Aehcos, is more than five percentage points higher than the same month in 2023, when it was 82.12%. In June, foreign tourists accounted for 70% of the visits to the province, and 30% were national, while the economic impact was 149.46 euros per guest and per night of stay. The Association assures that these figures are promising and suggest a good high season, which could even improve with last minute bookings.
