Guards, made up of former members of the Civil Guard, wanted to recognise last Friday the trajectory of the Association for Disabled People in Mijas (Adimi) in the last 25 years, highlighting the figure of its president, Cristobal Moreno. Also receiving awards were the commanders of the Guardia Civil of Mijas and Local Police, as well as the Mijas Town Hall.

The first award went to ADIMI, for its help over the last 25 years to so many people with special needs in our municipality. The Brotherhood of Auxiliary Civil Guards, which is made up of former members of the Civil Guard, highlighted the work carried out by the president of ADIMI, Cristóbal Moreno, who, during the tribute, made it clear that the association "is able to move forward thanks to the work and support of all the people who accompany us, which is why it is a recognition for all of you".

In this regard, the provincial delegate of the Brotherhood of Auxiliary Civil Guards in Spain, José Antonio de Sosa, said that "what Adimi does is exceptional. Not only for those who are in the centre, but also for their families". De Sosa also took the opportunity to thank the Guardia Civil and the Local Police for the great work they do here in Mijas, especially his colleague, the Captain of the Civil Guard, Miguel Ángel, "for all the years we have spent together".

The Civil Guard also highlighted the involvement of the Mijas Town Hall in many social initiatives. For her part, Ana Mata, the mayoress of Mijas, thanked them for this recognition and for the work they do.

The last recognition went to the head of the local police in Mijas, who said that "what we do is our daily work, and although we don't need recognition, these kinds of mentions are very exciting".
