On Saturday 27th the good weather and the music by the Costa Soul Singers Choir invited many to come to the Branch Office Square in La Cala, where the solidarity tables promoted by the Department for Foreigners of the Mijas Town Hall were set up. The choir not only brought their soul to the charity market but also performed "a wide variety" of musical styles, explained Susan Garner, a member of this choir which was founded in 2015 and meets twice a week to rehearse. "When we are asked, like here, we sing at charity fairs. We are quite a joyful bunch", Garner added.

The performance by the Costa Soul Singers Choir is part of the programme of the solidarity tables, which are organised on the last Saturdays and Wednesdays of the month: "All these activities are organised by the Department for Foreigners with the collaboration of the groups that participate and all they ask for is a little support from the Town Hall by giving them this space, which they have", confirmed the councillor responsible for this department, Mario Bravo (PP). The councillor said that not only will they receive support from the Town Hall, but that it is also working to improve the street market. In this regard, he said that work is being done "so that they can have shade both on sunny days and in summer".

Next event
The charity tables will return to the Branch Office Square in La Cala the day after tomorrow, Wednesday 31st, from 11 to 14 hours. This is a new opportunity to collaborate with the more than ten foreign social groups and animal associations that participate.
