St. Anthony's College raises 1,305 euros for DEBRA Butterfly Skin

  • Once again this year, they completed their 24 hours of uninterrupted football

Students, families, former alumni and teachers took up the challenge to keep the ball rolling for 24 hours

24 uninterrupted hours of a charity football match. St. Anthony's College once again involved students, former alumni, teachers and parents around the sport, and the proceeds, 1,305.50 euros, were donated this week to the association DEBRA, Piel de Mariposa which helps people who suffer from a genetic skin problem.  Once again this year, the match lasted 24 hours, a challenge indeed, organised by St. Anthony's College in Mijas, involving students, alumni, teachers and family members who formed endless teams to keep the ball rolling for 24 hours.  Students donated at least one euro to the cause, although there were sponsorships for larger amounts.  During school hours, each primary school group was the protagonist, followed by secondary school in the afternoon, and high school students in the evening. From half past nine in the morning on Friday 20th to half past nine in the morning on Saturday 21st, the ball didn't stop rolling.  A charitable activity that also helps the integration of the school community  and its formation in values.
