The Tourism Department of the Mijas Town Hall is already planning another of its favourite musical events. We are referring to the Celtic Night, which will be held on Saturday 12th of August at the municipal auditorium in Mijas Pueblo. Three bands comprise the line-up for this musical event with free entrance until full capacity is reached.

Mijas is once again committed to a music and dance show that combines tradition and modernity, and which attracts people from different parts of Europe, so much so that, according to the Tourism Department, there are many visitors who come to our municipality every summer to enjoy this event. "With this type of activities we pursue a double objective, on the one hand, that everyone enjoys a great show in the month of August and in an emblematic place next to La Muralla, but also that they take the opportunity to know and enjoy everything that our municipality offers", said the councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín (Cs), encouraging citizens to "spend a fun night in the auditorium with family and friends". 

The Celtic Night will start at 21:00 and three bands will perform. The first to take to the stage will be the Stolen Notes, "the hardest and most rock and rollers", said Miguel Gómez, from La Cochera Producciones, who are organising this event. They will be followed by the Scottish dance group Nuala "and, finally, we will have Fernando Mosquera, an artist who plays 70 instruments and composes in both Galician and Scottish, and will perform with his band, a national reference point and a great bagpipe player". 

Admission to the auditorium will be free until full capacity is reached. There will also be food and drink areas, and as for parking, the EL Puerto Quarry will be reserved for all those interested in attending the Celtic Night, "so that they can park there and take the shuttle bus that will drop them off in the village, without having to worry about finding parking to enjoy this night that we are organising even more", concluded the head of the Tourism Department, Juan Carlos Acevedo.
