After the Christmas official inauguration in Mijas, with the switching on of the Christmas lights and the beginning of the activities, we finally know the dates when Santa Claus is visiting the municipality. Next Friday, December 10th, he will be arriving at the Virgen de la Peña Square from 4 pm, coinciding with his visit to Mijas Pueblo, and there will be a musical performance by the band QuimiRock for the whole family.  “We would like to invite all families to come and visit Father Christmas and enjoy the Christmas decorations and lighting that we have prepared,” said the Councillor for Fiestas, Tamara Vera (PSOE) at the presentation of this event. The Town Council’s Fiestas Department will be helping Father Christmas and his elves to travel around the municipality. After his stop in the village, on Saturday 11th, he will be in La Cala, this time in the morning, at 11 am. “All the Christmas activities are designed to excite the little ones at home. Everything is done for their enjoyment and fun,” Vera added. Las Lagunas will be visited on Saturday, December 18th, at 4 pm at Fernán Caballero Park. From the Fiesta´s Department, all families are encouraged to bring the kids to these meetings with Santa Claus, and also enjoy the Christmas lights and all the decorations that have been arranged for this special occasion.
