The Town Hall will invest 153,000 euros in its renovation, which has an execution period of two months

From the Department for Parks and Gardens they continue working on the remodeling of all the children’s playgrounds in the municipality and, after the reform of several play areas, the time has come for La Muralla, whose renovation will follow a special pattern. Its design will include the symbols that identify Mijas Pueblo throughout the world.

“We are going to have several towers with a zip line, a cabin based in a white village where children can go in and investigate, which I think will be very interesting, since this has not been seen before in Mijas Pueblo; I think the children are going to have a great time”, said the councillor for this area, Laura Moreno (PSOE), who added that to complete the fun of the little ones”, several swings will be installed, with a donkey and a horse carriage as protagonists”.

The remodeling of this park has an execution period of two months. It conforms, said the councillor, to the safety regulations and follows the beautification plan that is developed throughout the municipality.

“We are adapting it to current regulations, all the rubber flooring will be completely remodeled, so when we come back here in two months we will see a totally new park, which will be a real surprise for the children. Mijas Pueblo deserved it, and it was about time we carried out this reform”, Moreno pointed out.

Neighbourhood demand

The Town Hall invests 153,000 euros in this action, which also responds to a demand that residents have been making for years. “It was a commitment of the current mayor and of this government team to renovate this park, which has been patched up before, but it now needed a comprehensive remodeling project”, said the councillor for Contracting, Roy Pérez (PSOE).
