Last October, flooding caused by the DANA storm left a trail of destruction across the province of Valencia. Among those affected, were people who not only lost their homes but also their livelihoods, including Carol, a resident of the municipality of Paiporta who ran a ceramics academy.

To support the community, Soroptimist International Costa del Sol, along with other Soroptimist clubs in Spain, launched an initiative called ‘Soroptimist a tu Lado’ (Soroptimist by your side). The group has already secured part of the funding needed for Carol to reopen her business, but she still needs additional help to purchase a kiln. They are therefore asking for donations to raise the remaining funds and help her make her dream a reality. If you would like to contribute, donations can be made via Bizum 10787.
